 F-Secure Antivirus can perform simultaneous scans with multiple scanning engines (including on-demand and real-time scans), thanks to Data Fellows' CounterSign. This technology lets F-Secure Anti-Virus combine multiple virus-scanning engines into a single framework by using the F-Prot and AVP antivirus engines simultaneously. CounterSign permits the integration of different antivirus technologies and allows several scanning engines to be plugged in to scan the files side-by-side for current and future protection against virus threats.
